Day 10

The weather has been so stormy that I don't dare venture out very much. These are not light California showers! But there is plenty to do inside and I get to do it with a glorious view of the outside. Tom and Karen's office is floor to ceiling glass on 2 sides that over look the ocean from their perch on top of the mountain. I can see the squalls as they are coming in and it is stunning how fast they come at us. One of these days I'm going to try to catch it on my camera so you can see what happens. It is breath-taking.

Some of you have not met Tom and Karen. They have been married for 6 years and make their home here on Boracay where Karen is from. Tom is my brother and I love him to pieces, but I am in awe of Karen. She is beautiful and smart and cultured. But the thing I like best is how centered and grounded she is. I have much to learn from her. She probably only weighs about 80 or 90 pounds, but don't mess with her...she can take you down! Karen and Tom travel all over the world doing spa consultations and teaching spa staff how to give Watsu treatments. If you don't know what Watsu is, it is like getting a message in water.
