Sorry this is late. I had it all written up last night and then a major storm blew in and we were running around unplugging everything and pulling anything that might blow away into protected areas. By the time I got back to my computer, my posting had disappeared and I needed to unplug the internet and computer.
These are the tropics and there is a reason they call this "rain forest". This place went from being partly cloudy, but calm, to a raging torrent of wind, rain, and lightening, all in about 5 minutes. It has rained and thundered all night and now into the morning. I would love to send some of this your way. I know we need it back home.
Yesterday was my first full day of treatment. It started with a breakfast of baby coconut meat, coconut water with apple cider vinegar and fresh lime juice added, half a glass of fresh wheat grass juice (not my favorite), and some wonderful brown rice cooked with garlic and sea salt. Lunch and dinner was a salad and more wheat grass juice and coconut water mixture. The picture shows where we eat all our meals.
The fun part was in the morning. Tom spent over an hour with me working
on yoga. I was amazed how different my body felt after just one
practice. It was hysterical trying to get into some of the positions.
My belly just keeps getting in the way. And the fat on my thighs kept me
from dropping into some of the squat positions. I have heard of fat
people that do yoga, but I don't see how they make that work!
In the afternoon, I had a colema. I will spare you the details but basically it is an enema with 5 gallons of water (not all at once!). I felt so sick afterwards from the release of so much toxic matter that it was like having a terrible case of the flu. The cleansing was a little more than I could handle and I was up from 2am on because of a headache. After an abbreviated yoga session (because of the headache), I actually felt pretty good this morning.
I wish you could see what I see here and hear what I hear. There are frogs here that make a sound like a drummer beating on a hollow log. The geckos make several sounds. The most common one sounds like a sick cuckoo clock followed by a purring sound. At other times, they sound like a hoarse chicken clucking. Last night as the storm was raging outside, some fireflies made their way into my bedroom and danced around the ceiling above my mosquito net. It was magical!
