Day 46

We haven't had rain in several days and the air is still and muggy. The mosquitoes are out in force! I bought some vitamin B complex when I was in Cebu. It is supposed to change your body chemistry and make you smell unappetizing to the mosquitoes.  I walked down to the beach hoping to cool off but you have to actually get in the water to do that.

My left kidney has been giving me fits and the doctor said to drink lots of water but I am sweating it out as fast as I drink it. Do you remember the post a couple of weeks ago that talked about sweating during exercise and how much water we lose? I think it said on average we lose about 1.6 liters per hour of exercise but our bodies only take in about 1.4 liters per hour even if we drink more than that. I am sweating heavy even when I'm not exercising so there is no catching up for me. So those of you who sweat heavily and drink a lot during exercise, you need to keep drinking heavily for a couple of hours after you are done exercising to replace the lost fluid.
