Day 56

What a day! It started with yoga as usual. Then I hopped on the back of Tom's motor cycle and we headed for Dapa (about 20 minutes away). We had breakfast, waited for the rain to stop, got in the boat, and headed back to where the new boat is docked.

This is the boat we do all our crossings in.

It took about 1/2 hour to cross to the other island. We left Tom there to get a full set of measurements on the new boat.

This is the new boat. Everything from the deck up will be remodeled.

The rest of us continued on to the property on Bucas Grande where the new house will be built. This took another 1/2 by boat.

This is one of the most beautiful, pristine places I have ever been.  When I first got here I looked up at the sky. It was about 11:00 in the morning and the sky overhead was so clean that the color was almost a navy blue (they say the darker colored the sky, the cleaner it is). I have never seen a sky like this.

This video shows the approach to the land. Karen bought everything you can see as the camera pans across.

Once on the beach I took these two pictures. The bluff in the first picture is where the house will go. The beach goes from there and as far as you can see in the second picture.

One of the guys climbed up a tree and got us some fresh coconut.  We drank fresh buco straight from the coconut and had a nice swim to cool off. Then it was back in the boat to go meet up with Tom. By the time we got there they had fresh grilled fish and rice to eat (I had bananas and mangoes). A squall blew in so we were delayed heading back to Dapa, but we eventually made it back to Dapa, then on to General Luna and our hotel rooms.

I'm worn out.
