Day 64

I think that because my house has been unoccupied the last 10 days, all the creatures decided to have a party. I found a huge gecko in my bathroom sink, one on the wall where I was blindly reaching for a light switch, one nearly dropped on my head as I was going out the front door to go to dinner, and then one ran across my path in Karen's office. These weren't the small ones. These were all the really big ones that normally stay up high and out of sight.

Coming back from dinner after dark on the path were at least a dozen frogs the size of my hand. They don't move until I nearly step on them and they blend with the color of the ground and are hard to see.

Then as I was going to bed, I started tucking my mosquito net in and out jumped a Huntsman spider the size of the palm of my hand. These are the really fast ones that eat giant cockroaches. He started to climb up my mosquito net but stopped in the folds of the net next to my mattress. I pulled off my shoe and beat the heck out of him against the side of the mattress. I then shook the net which sent him flying. I whopped him a few more times on the floor just for good measure. He wasn't quite recognizable after that. My "nest" is sacred and creatures are not allowed!!!

Welcome  back to Boracay!
This is not my hand but a Google image stock photo of a Huntsman spider.
