Day 3

It is 3:30 in the afternoon in Boracay and half past midnight in California. It is about 90 degrees with 90% humidity. I'm soaking wet and I haven't even been to the beach yet. Our plane left at 2am Wednesday morning (which is 4 hours later than it was supposed to leave). It was so bazaar. In San Francisco it got dark about 8pm. We left at 2am and flew for almost 13 hours. The sun started to rise behind us during the last hour of the flight. So, we had 18 straight hours of darkness. Trying to figure out this one really messes with the brain.
Once we landed in Manila, we took a smaller plane to Cataclan. We then walked down to the beach and took a boat across to Boracay. Then it was a trike (motorcycle with kind of a side car attached) ride to Mandala, my home for the next 3 months.
This is the entrance from the main road to Mandala Spa.
