Day 48

How I love Sundays!! After all the excitement last night, it was nice to crawl into my  bed and sleep the night away. I am normally up between 6 and 6:30 but this morning I didn't wake up until 9:15. It was fantastic!

When I got up I checked the trap in the living room and it was occupied. Sorry, this one I am leaving for the maid. Shasta, my faithful watchdog rottweiler can see the caged rat through the glass wall (the cage is on the floor next to the glass wall) and has been going crazy all day trying to get at it. I'm surprised the rat hasn't died of a heart attack with that dog literally inches away.

Otherwise, it has been a peaceful day. I had a long talk with my honey-bunny this morning. I miss him so much. This separation has been difficult for us both. I love catching up on everything that is going on at home. Just the sound of his voice makes me feel good.

This afternoon I listened to the last session of General Conference. One of the talks mentioned doing family history work and indexing. So I spent the rest of the day indexing draft records from WWI.

It is dark outside now and Shasta still hasn't given up on getting the rat. I hope this doesn't go on all night! I may have to muster the courage to move the trap.
